“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Hallelujah Story #2 – A new school building

We Encourage is again thrilled to be used by the Lord to construct a 5 room, 2 story classroom building for the Reformed Academy, Freetown, Sierra Leone

In May 2020, We Encourage sent money for blocks to be constructed and laid as the foundation for the classroom building.

$5,000 from other sources constructed the walls of the ground floor.

We Encourage then began to complete the funding of the building. Here is a fascinating video of workman mixing concrete and carrying it bucket by bucket to develop the floor of the second story. The second video shows the floating of the concrete floor. Sept 27, 2021

The next view shows the completed shell of the school building. Nov.15, 2021

We Encourage sent money now to do the plastering, fixing window guards, sliding windows, doors, tiling the floor, painting the walls, building chairs and desks

A children’s parade to celebrate their new classrooms

To We Encourage,

“this is the completion of the work. Schools will be reopened on the 4th of January. So five classes will start using this new building. First, I want to thank God for using you to mobilize members We Encourage to support the ministries of my wife and me. Second, I must be grateful to you and your wife for accepting God’s direction to help these ministries. You have built a church in my village which people are using in worship. Now you have built a school also.

Finally my sincere thanks go to We Encourage for their support. May the Lord continue to bless them.”
Philip Sesay, December 22, 2021

P.S. Philip says there should be a provision for seven more classrooms to accommodate those students who still need classrooms. So he is getting plans to build an L-shape building that will connect to the new classroom building. So the ground floor and the first floor to be built will host nursery one to three and form one to two level students as well as the sixth level students that still remain in the administrative building. Perhaps there are those who find this a vision in which they’d like to contribute.
